Sub-processors
The third parties that process data on behalf of TextSetu, what each is used for, and where they operate.
Last updated 2026-08-18
We use the third parties below to run TextSetu. This list is derived from the services the application actually integrates with.
Infrastructure
| Sub-processor | Purpose | Data reaching it |
|---|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services (S3) | File storage — uploads, imports and generated exports | Your content files |
| PostgreSQL database hosting | Primary data store for all account and project data | Account data and your content |
| ImageKit | Image storage and delivery for organisation and user images | Uploaded images |
| ZeptoMail (Zoho) | Transactional email — invitations, notifications, password resets | Name, email address |
| Sentry | Error monitoring and performance profiling, in the server, web and admin apps | Diagnostic data, which can include your user ID and request context |
| Microsoft (Clarity) | Session recording and heatmaps on this marketing site — only if you switch it on in the consent banner | Mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and page content from your visit, as a replayable recording |
| PostHog (US Cloud) | Product analytics for the application, and — only with your consent — page-view analytics on this marketing site | From the application: user ID, email, name, organisation, and automatically captured interaction events. From this site: page views only, with no identification |
AI providers
These receive the source strings and the context the engine assembles for translation. Which of them are used depends on the engine configuration your organisation sets. If you supply your own provider key, the request runs against your account with that provider rather than ours.
| Sub-processor | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Anthropic (Claude) | AI translation and optional review scoring |
| OpenAI | AI translation and optional review scoring |
| Google (Gemini) | AI translation and optional review scoring |
| DeepSeek | AI translation and optional review scoring |
Identity and repository providers
Used only if you choose to connect them. They receive your authentication or repository request, not your translation content.
| Sub-processor | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket | Single sign-on |
| GitHub | Repository sync, if you install the TextSetu GitHub App |
Where processing happens
PostHog processing takes place on its US Cloud region. Our own infrastructure region is set per deployment; email us if you need the current region confirmed in writing for a specific deployment.
Changes
We will post changes to this list here before a new sub-processor starts processing customer data, giving you at least 30 days to object. If you object on reasonable data protection grounds we will work with you to find a solution, and if we cannot you may stop using the affected part of the service.
